For our client Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, we are currently looking for an ambitious and driven associate to expand their Asset management team in Amsterdam.

  • Founded in 2006, MSIP has invested in a diverse portfolio of over 30 investments across transport, digital infrastructure, energy transition and utilities. MSIP targets assets that provide essential public goods and services with the potential for value creation through active asset management.
  • MISP has two main teams that work closely together: the Deal Team and the Asset Management Team. The Deal Team is responsible for identifying the right investment opportunities and executing the deal process. The Asset Management Team is responsible for creating value during the time a company is part of MSIP’s portfolio and partly for supporting acquisition due diligence. These teams include 70 professionals, located in different locations worldwide.
Due to their expansion, MSIP is looking to hire a new associate to strengthen their Asset Management team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.


The Associate will work closely together with the Deal Teams located in London and New York. The Associate will help to ensure that acquisitions are successfully managed from the start to the end of the ownership period. The role will primarily be focused on making strategies of portfolio companies work by helping portfolio companies implementing value-add plans and to some extent on supporting the Deal teams. Examples of projects are:
  • Being a driving force in developing 100-day plans prior to deal close.
  • Contribute to the implementation of risk management, HSE, compliance and other standard modules.
  • Be involved in aspects of the acquisition due diligence.
  • Design and implement Performance Based Management at portfolio companies.


Background & Experience
  • Strong educational background;
  • Progressive experience within a tier 1 firm either in private equity or (strategy) consulting;
  • Experience includes amongst others project management and strategic planning, business transformation, restructuring or operational excellence;
  • Proven ability in managing and motivating people with diverse cultural backgrounds;
  • Fluent in English, profession of other languages (e.g.German) is a plus;
  • Willingness to travel, mostly within Europe.
