Jeroen Aarts

After his master he started working at Triodos Bank, where he rewrote the policy for sustainable banking and investment. After Triodos, he transferred to Alliander where he went through the management traineeship and worked in various strategic positions on good grid management in the challenging context of energy transition: connecting solar farms in a congested electricity grid, making choices in a time of transport scarcity and dealing correctly with the shortage of technical staff. After this, he got the chance to help build Invest-NL, a government investment fund for sustainability and circularity projects. Once the organization was up and running, he focused on making the mobility & logistics sector more sustainable. ´It is my personal mission to ensure that sustainability is an integral part of strategies and to recognize that a strategy that lacks this is not future-proof.´
