With its roots in the Netherlands (HQ in Veldhoven), the company operates in the Netherlands, UK, Germany, and Belgium. Job description

Byldis is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales to lead our sales efforts and spearhead business growth. In this critical leadership role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing Byldis’ commercial strategy, driving profitability, and fostering a high-performance sales culture.

This is a hands-on role where you will not only lead, mentor, and manage the sales team but also be personally accountable for achieving profitable sales results. This includes actively engaging in client acquisition, negotiations, and deal closures. We seek a professional who thrives on being both a leader and a front-line contributor to Byldis' success.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the construction industry, combining strategic vision with practical sales expertise to achieve ambitious revenue targets. A passion for growth, the ability to build and nurture strong senior client relationships, and deep industry knowledge are critical for success in this role. Fluency in both German and English is preferred, as you will collaborate with international clients and stakeholders across diverse markets.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • The Head of Sales engages directly in sales activities and manages the sales team. This hands-on involvement in securing deals and driving business opportunities is crucial to the role's success.

The company has a healthy order book (through a good mix of projects).

Job requirements

Background and experience:

  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the construction industry, with expertise in B2B sales, project management, and senior client relationship development.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, manage, and grow a high-performing sales team.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, capable of building rapport with senior stakeholders and closing high-value deals.
  • Fluency in both German and English is preferred, as the role involves regular interaction with international clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients, attend industry events, and oversee sales operations in key markets.
