An interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is appointed for a specified period of time as the general manager, delegated executive or chair of the board of a company. The role of the interim CEO depends on the kind of company. That is an executive board in one model. In another model, in addition to the executive or day-to-day management, which in this form is usually called management, or the Executive Board.
