De zorg zit vast
Het gaat Jeroen van Roon duidelijk aan het hart, maar hij moet concluderen: ‘De Nederlandse zorg zit vast. We lopen de laatste jaren evident tegen muren aan. Onder meer van de arbeidsmarkt. Alleen met lef krijgen we dat in beweging. We moeten bestaande verhoudingen meer loslaten om nieuwe een kans te geven. Gelukkig is daar ook in de politiek met minister Gezondheidszorg Ernst Kuipers aandacht voor.’ Het Integraal Zorgakkoord laat dat zien.
Crucial cooperation
Veel instellingen zouden, volgens Jeroen door onderlinge taakherschikking veel doelmatiger kunnen zijn. ‘Bijvoorbeeld een oudereninstelling en een ziekenhuis die samenwerken. Of aboratoria die regionaal of met de industrie connecties aangaan. Dat vergt van individuele zorginstellingen veel flexibiliteit. Maar die moet er komen, want wat er nu is, schiet evident te kort voor de vergrijzing van) komende jaren, aldus Jeroen van Roon die voordat hij (weer) voor Boer & Croon ging werken, 10 jaar werkzaam was als ziekenhuisbestuurder, eerst als CEO van het Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis, toen als CFO bij OLVG en uiteindelijk als voorzitter raad van bestuur a.i. bij bij Reinier Haga Group. Als Partner Healthcare blijft hij zich inzetten voor een toekomstbestendige ontwikkeling van de Nederlandse zorg. ‘Als management- en adviesbureau dat al tientallen jaren actief is in de gezondheidszorg kunnen we hopelijk een goede bijdrage leveren aan de organisatie- en cultuur veranderingen in de zorg door de selectie van krachtige leiders met durf en daadkracht.’
Life sciences can offer health care a lot
